- Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver quality care.
- Addresses psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, providing education and support.
- Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness.
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately.
- Assesses learning needs and educates patients, families, and caregivers.
- Works within established competencies and standards, delegating appropriately to care team members.
