Job Summary:
As an Intake Representative in the VA Department, you will serve as the first point of contact for veterans seeking legal support. Your role will involve cultivating strong client relationships, managing a high volume of calls on a multi-line phone system, and helping potential clients begin their journey toward obtaining benefits they deserve.
Strong communication, active listening, and attention to detail are essential. You’ll work closely with attorneys and VA case managers, helping to identify the appropriate legal path for each client and supporting the intake process from start to finish.

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
- Frequent call management abilities, prioritizing your schedule to allow for new callers and appointments, talking to prospective clients, obtaining and reviewing documents needed to assist in case acceptance, and working closely with our attorneys and staff to help our new clients.
- Review incoming paperwork from various mediums, saving in appropriate software
- Communication with Case Managers and Attorneys to promptly address any issue found in a file, ensuring excellent service for our clients. Communication with current clients and/or other government agencies may also be necessary to track and confirm status of claims.
- No prior training is required, but experience working with the SSD or VA claims and/or helping people who are disabled navigate the benefits process is considered.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered mindset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume phone environment
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
- Prior experience working with veterans, the VA, or in legal intake is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software preferred
- Veterans and those passionate about veteran support are strongly encouraged to apply
