Description

The Human Resource Coordinator, under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer will assist with organization recruitment, staff benefit enrollment, maintain personnel files, facilitate onboarding, implement/maintain upgrades to Human Resource policies and software systems. The position also has an active role in ensuring all human resource functions are complying with local, state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Consulting with the employer and identifying employment needs.
  • Interviewing/screening potential applicants regarding their skills, experience, and education.
  • Contacting references and coordinating background checks on applicants.
  • Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties.
  • Hiring or referring qualified applicants for the employer.
  • Conducting or helping with new employee orientation.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Administer employee benefits program.
  • Assist with the creation, implementation, and revision of human resource policies and procedures.
  • Maintain human resources software system which supports employee training, personnel data, and credential.
  • Assist with workers compensation reports and audits.
  • Assist with employment verification request.
  • Assist with workers compensation authorization and reports.
  • Coordinate retention and engagement activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field and/or equivalent experience required.
  • Two to three years of related experience required.
  • SHRM-CP credential or human resources and/or compensation credentials or certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands/ Working Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONFIDENTIAL MATTERS

  • Must hold all matters relating to patient care and employment data confidential.
  • Breach will lead to disciplinary action up to and including immediate dismissal.

Errors could expose the Center to liability, embarrassment, and loss of revenue.
