Job Title: Human Resources Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our HR team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in core areas of Human Resources, including I-9 compliance, onboarding, orientation, and other essential HR projects. The intern will support compliance initiatives, contribute to a meaningful employee onboarding experience, and assist with various HR programs and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • I-9 Compliance and Audit
  • Assist in reviewing and auditing employee I-9 documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal regulations.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions related to I-9 discrepancies.
  • Organize digital and paper records in a secure, accessible format.
  • Participate in process improvements for I-9 tracking and reporting.
  • Onboarding and Orientation
  • Assist in coordinating and executing new hire onboarding processes.
  • Support the planning and facilitation of employee orientation sessions.
  • Prepare onboarding packets and ensure completion of required documentation.
  • Gather feedback from new hires to recommend enhancements to the onboarding experience.
  • Other HR Projects as Needed
  • Contribute to initiatives in areas such as employee engagement, training, policy updates, and HR data management.
  • Provide administrative support including filing, data entry, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve HR practices and programs.
  • Conduct research and benchmarking to support ongoing HR initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources or related fields.
