Job Title: Logistics Analyst

Job Summary: Optimize warehouse and logistics operations through data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement. This role involves solving complex logistical problems, developing key metrics, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.

Location: Durham, NC – Centerpointe

What You’ll Do

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of data-driven decision-making in the logistics and fulfillment departments.
  • Operational Efficiency: Identify inefficiencies and eliminate unnecessary complexity in warehouse and logistics processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Metrics Development: Develop and track key metrics, using business intelligence tools to identify root causes and assess the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze trends and variations in processes as part of a continuous improvement monitoring system.
  • Team Leadership: Lead teams, conduct training sessions, and facilitate workshops to implement innovative solutions.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain advanced reporting data streams and structures to support decision-making.
  • Training and Development: Develop training materials and contribute to system enhancements for ongoing process improvement.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify risks and provide solutions to potential problems in logistics operations.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external suppliers and customers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current on logistics and warehousing best practices, as well as emerging technologies in the industry.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects to meet evolving business requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain role, focusing on continuous improvement and data analysis. Experience in an ISO-certified warehousing and logistics environment preferred.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong data analysis skills, knowledge of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, 5S), experience implementing continuous improvement programs and solutions, solid understanding of warehousing, logistics, and supply chain processes.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, Google Docs, and Smartsheet.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Operational Translation: Ability to translate business requirements into operational needs.
  • Mathematical Skills: Strong mathematical skills for various calculations.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk throughout warehouse facilities as needed, capability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.

What To Expect In The Workplace

  • Physical Demands: Perform tasks such as walking throughout warehouse facilities, lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
  • Work Environment: Operate in a warehouse environment with temperature extremes, moderate noise levels, and moving equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Wear PPE as necessary, including ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes, and a high-visibility vest.
