Position Summary:
Experienced admissions team member responsible for providing exceptional customer service during the intake process. Connects individuals and families with behavioral health treatment services. Guides prospective patients through the admissions process with compassion, professionalism, and efficiency. Handles inbound calls, outbound calls, and digital inquiries, conducts initial screenings, verifies insurance benefits, and coordinates intake logistics to ensure timely and appropriate placements. Independently handles inquiries, conducts full screenings, initiates insurance verification, and coordinates intake process. Manages complex admissions cases, mentors junior staff, and supports process improvements.

Essential Job Duties:
- Handles complex or emotionally intense calls with confidence, professionalism, and empathy.
- Collect initial caller information and determines appropriate next steps.
- Identifies callers that meet the admission criteria for the program as well as help patients identify an appropriate level of care.
- Facilities the admission process into the program if the caller meets admission criteria.
- Maintains accurate records in the CRM system.
- Provides callers that do not meet the admission criteria alternate treatment options based on their required level of care.
- Communicates with patients and their families, providing information about the facilities and the policies of the Company.
- Handle high-acuity and complex admissions cases.
- Resolve escalated caller concerns.
- Support insurance and clinical teams with intake coordination.

- Flags process issues or trends for leadership
- Document all interactions and ensure compliance with privacy standards
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. College coursework or Addictions Certification desired.
- 2-4 years of healthcare, behavioral health, insurance, or admissions call center experience; 2-4 years of behavioral healthcare admissions experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of behavioral health services, insurance processes, and clinical criteria.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emotional or distressed callers with empathy.
- Competency in data entry and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
- Experience identifying process improvements.
