The Processor assists with the loading and unloading of donations and processes, sorts and stocks donations.

What You Will Do:

  • Participate in all training activities to acquire on-the-job skills.
  • Learn and apply company policies, procedures and guidelines to complete assigned duties.
  • Meet production goals by sorting and identifying goods according to categories, including separating high-end and vintage goods, placing items in proper containers.
  • Properly pack breakable and non-breakable goods.
  • Place sellable goods on hangers for racking to be tagged, priced and shipped.
  • Crosstrain in processing of new goods or Target goods.
  • Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage.
  • Fill out production and inventory reports.
  • Deliver goods to workstation using proper equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping around workstation by sweeping, keeping work supplies stocked and stacking processed goods neatly and safely.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Read and write English proficiently.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse groups of individuals from a variety of educational, social and economic backgrounds.
  • Follow workplace quality and safety standards and contribute to a culture of safety.
  • Receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement.
  • Strive for high customer satisfaction, going out of the way to be helpful and pleasant.
  • Ability to identify different categories of donated goods such as clothing, housewares, shoes, purses etc.
  • Knowledge of collectable and high-end items a plus.
  • Must have a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends; schedules may change based on business needs.
  • Able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to stand on hard surfaces for an extended period.
