Role Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating all supply chain activities related to foodservice operations. This includes procurement, inventory management, contract administration, supply chain incident management, project management, logistics, and distribution. The ideal candidate will work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining quality standards. As with all members of the Nando’s family, the Project Manager will be expected to wear multiple hats, seek out opportunities to make Nando’s and themselves better every day, and in general, be a good team player! KEY FOCUS AREAS
Supply Chain Data Management System
- Primary user and will develop to be the subject matter expert for the data management system (Currently: Areostream)
- Maximize the benefits that the data management system provides including contract administration, pricing accuracy, and invoice auditing
- Verify and reconcile any discrepancy to ensure data integrity and mapping
- Create and maintain reports that maximize the benefits of the system to support seamless operations of the supply department.
- Assist with evaluating suppliers to ensure that high quality products are sourced according to specifications.
- Support Director of Supply Chain with contracting as needed
- Assist with building and maintaining strong vendor relationships
- Support all cost savings initiatives.
- Assist with developing approved product list and take full responsibility to maintain said list as changes occur.
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of incident management software.
- Monitor incoming incidents and facilitate tracking & resolutions that impact the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
- Assist with evaluating suppliers to ensure that high quality products are sourced according to specifications.
- Monitor incoming and incidents and facilitate response regarding Product, service issues, nutrition and allergen related to customer care through Guest XM platform
- Provide distribution support related to new restaurant openings and/or new market expansion activities.
- Maintain consistent quality control evaluations, maintain order guides, approved substitutes, and vendors.
- Management of Inventory System to oversee stock on hand and ensure specified items are available from distributors.
- Support inventory management in the field, by managing substitute items, stock outs, distributor service level tracking.
- Partner closely with Culinary Operations, and Food Safety to facilitate commercialization of new or existing products into distribution (examples: LTO’ and new item rollouts)
- Support the Supply Chain department by creating and updating necessary reports and asisst with compiling presenting data and materials
- Assist department with tracking key initiatives through project management software (Example Monday.com)
- Support Chief Supply Chain Officer, Director of US Supply Chain, Director of Food Safety & QA Technical Services as needed
- Support change-management as needed to keep up and adapt to more efficient way of doing Nando’s processes.
- Support the other Restaurant Support Teams by assisting with additional cross functional projects as they arise.
- No direct reports
- Position reports directly to Director of Supply Chain
- Eligible for annual bonus under Nando’s bonus plan
- 20 days of PTO per year
