Job Summary

Apex is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll (including records for union employees), filing federal and state quarterly reports, and reconciling checkbooks. Candidates should be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage A/P and A/R processes
  • Accurately process payroll and maintain union employee documentation
  • Prepare and submit quarterly federal and state tax filings
  • Reconcile checkbooks and maintain up-to-date financial records

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
