Join a Team of Mavericks! We are seeking a talented Jr. Engineer to play a pivotal role in our technology team. The ideal candidate will blend technical development skill with a passion for UI/UX design and the ability to drive strict QA to ensure users receive the intended experience. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and product-minded engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new feature development using Figma and assist in converting the design into user stories for our Full Stack Engineers to execute
• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases to validate product functionality and user experience against both hard specifications and original intent of the design
• Monitor, report, and assist in resolving bugs
• Serve as the primary front-line technical support resource for internal employees and their escalations from users experiencing technical difficulties
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from ideation and design to implementation, testing, and deployment
• Build and maintain a simplified database map and data dictionary to be used by Business Intelligence Analysts across the company for core business reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, deliver innovative software solutions that enhance our platform, Beacon
• Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, QA methodologies, and AI tools to contribute to process improvements and professional growth
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Jr. Engineer or Technical Product Manager, managing QA and feature designs with stakeholders
• Frontend Proficiency: Experience with ES6+ and one or more modern UI frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js). Understanding of CSS (Tailwind preferred).
• Backend Proficiency: Experience and understanding of RESTful API development using .NET Core 6+, EntityFramework Core is a plus
• SQL Proficiency: Basic knowledge of reading, writing, and minor schema updates to Microsoft SQL Server
• Small company or startup experience, showcasing adaptability, initiative, and a willingness to take ownership of projects
• Proven experience with both Azure and Figma
• Experience with Tableau preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of experience
