We are hiring a QAPI Nurse to join the Hospice of Western & Central Massachusetts team!
This role services Hospice Services of Massachusetts and Hospice of Western & Central Massachusetts. Weekly pay. Must be willing to travel as needed.

The QAPI Nurse is responsible for all quality activities of the agency such as monitoring, implementing, and evaluating the process, and working to improve the workflow.

The QAPI Nurse is responsible for all quality activities of the agency such as monitoring, implementing, and evaluating the process, and working to improve the workflow.
Experience & Education:
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program.
- EMR experience preferred.
- Three to five years experience in clinical nursing.
- Development and implement performance improvement plans including measurable goals, interventions, and timelines.
- Prepare and present QAPI to leadership and staff.
- Perform regular and focused clinical chart reviews for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Audit SOC, recertifications, f2f, discharge, and visit notes.
- Monitor quality indicators such as symptom management, falls, medication errors, infection control, hospitalization, and patient/family satisfaction.
- Submit HIS, PEPPER, CAHPS.
- Collaborate with nursing supervisors to provide a process to promote and ensure employee orientation, competency and Inservice education programs.
- Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of the organization’s quality assessment performance improvement (QAPI) program.
- Monitor organization compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the state as needed.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.
- Must be knowledgeable in the privacy rules and ensure all staff comply with facility privacy practices policies and procedures.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
- Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.
