Description
The Electrical/Machine Systems (EMS) Maintenance Tech is responsible for upkeep for the Tyler maintenance, repair and upkeep of the machinery and electrical controls for the Tyler container manufacturing facility. The role also has responsibility for facility assets, including upkeep, utilization, and tracking. The EMS Tech performs PM’s, schedules and monitors outside vendor repairs, orders and maintains critical stock of repair and maintenance parts and supplies.

Description
The Electrical/Machine Systems (EMS) Maintenance Tech is responsible for upkeep for the Tyler maintenance, repair and upkeep of the machinery and electrical controls for the Tyler container manufacturing facility. The role also has responsibility for facility assets, including upkeep, utilization, and tracking. The EMS Tech performs PM’s, schedules and monitors outside vendor repairs, orders and maintains critical stock of repair and maintenance parts and supplies.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensures all equipment serviced meets our safety standards.
- Identify and perform critical maintenance tasks to electro-hydraulic machinery including robots, press brakes, shears, CNC equipment.
- Monitors electro/hydraulic assets within the campus, service and repair as necessary.
- Understands asset lifecycle and replacement schedules.
- Works with Operational leadership to schedule maintenance activities to prevent unscheduled downtime.
- Provides repair/cost history of existing assets and provides input to capital spend with regards to facility repairs and equipment repairs / replacements.
- Previous maintenance program experience in an industrial manufacturing site (5-10 years).
- Knowledge of a variety of equipment – break presses, plasma cutters, weld power units, shears, compressors, hydraulics, robotics, etc.
- Knowledge and proven experience with facilities and the various aspects required to upkeep and maintain such as electrical (3-phase systems), logic controllers, CNC equipment, hydraulic equipment.
- Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize, and analyze data.
- Technical proficiency regarding basic computer experience, including Office applications, maintenance/PM software such as MaintainX, etc.
- Must have meticulous attention to quality and detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, while being assertive in a team environment.
- Proactive and methodical approach to work.
- Able to work independently and ensure tasks are completed with little supervision
- Able to work under stress and meet tight deadlines
- Formal education in Mechanical or Electrical Technology is preferred.
