Information Technology Intern

We are seeking intellectually curious, driven, and tech-savvy students to join our Information Technology team. As an intern you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, assist with the implementation of new software, and provide day to day support to team members.

Engages with customers or clients and provides service. Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes. Learns and becomes proficient on internal systems. Assists in creating performance reports.

In this the course of this internship:


  • you may help process paperwork
  • manage a database
  • evaluate and prioritize requests from users, collect information, test hardware and software, ensure compliance with software licensing regulations
  • develop training materials, or perform other tasks as needed to help manage information systems
  • At the end of the internship, you will be encouraged to present to the IT team your experience and suggest improvements


Responsibilities:


  • Mange inventory of equipment, recycle and storage room.
  • Create a database of inventory and who it gets deployed to
  • Manage TEAMS units in the Lawrence office
  • 16 + Teams units to maintain Daily
  • Test and restart as needed Teams units in Conference rooms every morning
  • Check throughout the day each conf room teams to ensure wiring is still connected.
  • If there is and early VIP meeting, you will be required to arrive early to test the unit(s)
  • Create a tracking system for IT services that have not been logged into the system
  • Update IT presentation and print copies as needed
  • Manage IT recycling
  • Place Equipment orders
  • Ship and Pick-up shipping items

Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Data/Analytics, Math, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and take on new challenges.
  • Prior internship or work experience in IT is a plus but not required.
  • Interest in the Health Sciences mission and goals.

This is a paid hourly internship position with a competitive rate. Interns will be expected to be onsite throughout the course of their internship, in our Lawrence and with limited travel to Lexington, Massachusetts location.
