Company Overview

Livestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of Livestock Producer's operations. We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist will work with the Producer to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Qualifications

Position Summary

As an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager at LNC, your primary responsibility will be to develop, implement, and oversee health, safety, and environmental programs across LNC facilities. This position is crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Foster a proactive environment that supports safety and compliance.
  • Engage with stakeholders to promote safety awareness and adherence.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing SOPs to ensure consistency and efficiency in HSE initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment with health, safety, and environmental goals.
  • Manage initiatives to meet legal, regulatory, and compliance standards.
  • Monitor compliance and work with management to address any deficiencies.
  • Track and assess operational and safety risks.
  • Develop strategic plans to mitigate potential incidents.
  • Keep track of injury, illness, and incident reports.
  • Maintain OSHA 300 logs and recommend preventive measures.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and address potential HSE concerns.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to management.
  • Set an example by modeling behaviors aligned with LNC values.
  • Influence stakeholders to achieve consensus on shared interests.
  • Address and resolve day-to-day and complex issues within systems and processes.
  • Lead investigations and conduct root-cause analyses for accidents.
  • Participate in other projects as needed to support LNC objectives.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree OHS or EHS preferred with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
    • Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
  • Certifications:
    • ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification preferred or the ability to obtain.
  • Other:
    • Capable of handling sensitive information and addressing performance expectations.
    • Ability to motivate teams and improve job discipline and departmental outcomes.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
    • Potential for hybrid work from home after 90 days.
