The Human Resources Assistant aids with the overall clerical functions of the Human Resources Department.
Essential Functions
- Assists with developing and administrating various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
- Assists with establishing and maintaining department records and reports.
- Completes data entry in the HR/Payroll system and updates spreadsheets/reports, as needed.
- Assists with developing, recommending, and implementing personnel policies and procedures.
- Assists with the recruitment process, including posting positions, advertising, contacting applicants and scheduling interviews.
- Assists with scheduling and coordinating new hire processing and new hire orientation.
- May be assigned to the coordination of Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s), including sourcing and onboarding procedures.
- Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings, such as seminars.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects, and committees as assigned.
- Adhere to and support the center’s practices, procedures, and policies including assigned break times and attendance.
- Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner; and perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED Certification required.
- Minimum of one year administrative or clerical experience, preferably in the field of Human Resources.
- An Associates level or Human Resources Certification preferred. Is medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.
- Demonstrated PC skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
