This is a permanent, part-time post of 32.2 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 12 hours Monday to Sunday Days & Nights.

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours. 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team within Critical Care Neurosciences/OMFS in the Institute of Neurological Sciences, QEUH. The Department of Neurosurgery provides exciting pioneering Neurosurgical procedures and care as part of Regional Services for the West of Scotland.

Our 12 bed Critical Care Unit provides person-centred care for critically ill patients from Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Oral Maxillary Facial Surgery. Our Critical Care Unit has a dedicated Clinical Educator who will support you in developing your skills and career.

Experience in Critical Care is desirable but not essential. It is desirable that you have a post-basic critical care qualification.

You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to patient-centred care, continuing professional development, an understanding of our service, and the specific needs of our patients (or a commitment to learn and develop these skills).

You will demonstrate flexibility, and a willingness to participate in service progression and growth.

The ability to work effectively in a team is essential.

A competency based education programme is in place to support your development.
