Responsible for the hiring, onboarding and training, performance management and development of staff. Provides oversight of direct reports to ensure quality service is being provided by establishing and retaining long term business relationship and developing, leading and implementing strategies. Domestic and international travel is required up to 60% including but not limited to air and auto. Immediate travel requests may be needed to support the business.
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences, or related field and eight years of customer service or healthcare related experience OR Master’s degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences, or related field and five years of customer service or healthcare related experience.

- Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this position before becoming eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic.

Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences, or related field and eight years of customer service or healthcare related experience OR Master’s degree in Business, Management, Life Sciences, or related field and five years of customer service or healthcare related experience.
Additional Qualifications/Application Requirements
- All applicants must include a resume in their application
- Current DLMP/MCS employees that have been in their current lab/position for less than 2 years must attach an early release approval from their supervisor.
- Internal applicants must attach their 3 most recent performance appraisals.
- Master's degree and 3 years of divisional unit experience preferred.
- Previous leadership experience, account management and health care industry experience.
- Experience in customer service, clients, and vendor relationships
- Previous laboratory experience/knowledge preferred
- Exposure and understanding of shipping industry encompassing couriers and carriers, supply chain knowledge.
- Must have excellent human relations, management, and communications skills.
- Must be accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible, and able to perform well within internal and external multi-functional environments.
- Ability to develop strategic plans and manage several people, projects or tasks simultaneously and to exercise appropriate judgment when developing, deploying and/or overseeing plans, projects and tasks.
- Demonstrated managerial, decision-making and problem-solving ability and oversight of self and others.
- Candidates must foster a culture of learning, ability to navigate difficult situations requiring professional composure, daily effective problem solving both proactive and reactive while navigating frequent and unpredictable changes and disruptions.
- Experience in developing interdepartmental and cross-functional team relationships.
- A solid understanding of root cause analysis, A3 thinking, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen is highly valued.
- Flexibility to navigate both reactive and proactive operation disruptions daily.
- Process development, increase operational efficiency, ability to redesign a process, analytical skills, risk assessment, route optimization and logistic network development.
