Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and productive Shop Foreman to join our team. The Shop Foreman will oversee the daily operations of the shop to ensure smooth workflow and efficient processes. This role requires strong leadership, organizational abilities, and a commitment to operational excellence, with a focus on safety, compliance, and clear communication. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical and welding repairs and the ability to perform work safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day operations of the shop to ensure a daily smooth and productive day.
• Supervise all equipment and materials
• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of all equipment, including heavy machinery and small tools.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, including diagnostics, trailer wiring, and daily safety inspections.
• Maintain the shop area and surroundings clean and safe at all times.
• Organize and maintain accurate records of inventory; order necessary supplies and ensure proper storage.
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and foremen to align resource allocation with project demands.
• Collaborate with field personnel to communicate equipment needs and address concerns.
• Monitor and manage shop expenses to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Communicate any material or equipment issues to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in welding and mechanical repairs.
• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment repair.
• Ability to read and communicate with team members, English and Spanish preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with others.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (CDL driver licenser preferred but not required).
• Conduct periodic progress, resolve challenges, and provide support to foremen.
