The Director of Transformation is responsible for stewarding large-scale, cross-functional projects that impact multiple teams within YouVersion. This role ensures the successful execution of initiatives that require collaboration across various leadership levels and technical domains. The Director will oversee complex, strategic projects that enhance the global reach, personalization, and infrastructure of YouVersion, ensuring they align with organizational goals and vision. The Director is responsible for collaborating with their CTL/CML to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry efforts within their area of influence to outcomes that further Life.Church’s mission and reach people for Christ.


YouVersion was created by the local church in 2007 and remains a ministry of Life.Church today. At Life.Church, our mission is to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. What You’ll Do
  • Lead the organization-wide transformation process through the Transformation Office, establishing and orchestrating governance, execution frameworks, and performance tracking to drive strategic change and operational excellence.
  • Lead the Transformation Office, ensuring a structured, transparent, and efficient approach to managing YouVersion transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure that daily operations align with project objectives and broader team initiatives.
  • Develop frameworks for tracking project milestones, measuring success, and reporting on key insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the integration of new operational processes and ensure seamless adoption across multiple teams.
  • Provide structured updates to executive leadership, including regular progress reports and risk assessments.
  • Manage team collaboration by fostering clear communication, accountability, and shared ownership of operational priorities.
  • Establish best practices for knowledge sharing and documentation, ensuring continuity and efficiency across projects.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding of key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clarity in responsibilities.
  • Serve as an escalation point for operational challenges, ensuring that complex issues are addressed efficiently and collaboratively.
  • Implement and refine governance models that enhance cross-functional execution and decision-making processes.
  • Lead and support cross-functional workstreams, driving alignment, execution, and accountability to ensure the successful delivery of high-impact transformation initiatives.
  • Drive the cross-functional planning, execution, and successful completion of high-impact projects that align with YouVersion mission and strategic priorities.
  • Establish project goals, timelines, and key performance indicators to measure impact and success.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and other leaders to define transformation initiatives and gain alignment on objectives.
  • Facilitate strategic discussions and cross-functional meetings to ensure teams are aligned and equipped to execute projects efficiently.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives maintain momentum by proactively identifying and resolving obstacles that could hinder progress.
  • Lead through project roadblocks by facilitating resolution strategies and aligning stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Lead risk assessment and mitigation efforts, ensuring projects remain on track and aligned with overarching organizational goals.
  • Champion innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for optimization within transformation initiatives.
  • Make informed strategic decisions by analyzing data, evaluating risks, and assessing long-term impact on organizational goals.
  • Lead scenario planning and decision frameworks to navigate uncertainty and guide teams through complex challenges.


Skills Needed to Succeed
  • Ability to self-motivate, make independent decisions, and solve problems with innovation.
  • Effective at multi-tasking and time management to meet strict deadlines while remaining flexible and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to clearly explain complicated processes and foster partnerships.
  • Effective at process and organizational management to coordinate, structure, and provide vision to projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and understanding of developing and guiding others.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Advanced degree preferred. 
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing cross-functional teams and enterprise-level transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working closely with executive leadership to drive strategy, execution, and organizational change.
  • Experience in technical environments, including system integration, infrastructure, or complex process management.
