Requirements
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Marketing Associate to join our growing team. This mid-level role is ideal for a marketing professional with 1-3 years of experience who is comfortable wearing multiple hats. The ideal candidate will support cross-functional marketing initiatives through effective communication, event marketing coordination, intermediate-level design work, and administrative support.
This is a part time opportunity starting at 20 hours/week. Additional hours or moving it to a full-time position in the future is a likely option.

Marketing Communications & Coordination
- Assist in the planning, creation and distribution of internal and external marketing communications (email campaigns, newsletters, social posts, etc.)
- Track & organize incoming internal and external content for use in social media campaigns
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and tags across social platforms
- Coordinate between marketing department, operations, veterinary teams, etc to ensure timely execution of campaigns
- Help manage content calendars and ensure deadlines are met across projects
- Become the liaison for marketing initiatives between VRCCO, Ponch’s Place and Vet Cadets Childcare
- Support the planning and execution of internal and community events
- Coordinate logistics such as vendor management, registration/attendee communication management, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up
- Distribute event marketing across web and social platforms
- Track event budgets and ensure timely delivery of event-related items.
- Create and/or edit marketing collateral using design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma or similar platforms.
- Work within brand guidelines to develop visually appealing assets (flyers, social media graphics, presentations, etc.)
- Support the Content Marketing Manager with campaign asset creation
- Maintain marketing databases and file systems, ensuring files/records are up-to-date and organized
- Help with material ordering and tracking, budget tracking, and vendor/partner communications
- Provide scheduling and logistical support for marketing team initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field
- 1-3 years of marketing experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, Figma and intermediate Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) or equivalent
- Familiarity with CRM systems and marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp)
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed
