Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and estimate budget costs by studying plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Develop accurate and competitive bids for construction projects.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and engineers to define scope and plan projects.
- Schedule project phases, determine deadlines, and monitor compliance with time and cost estimates.
- Adjust plans swiftly in response to delays or project changes.
- Coordinate construction activities, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
- Manage and enforce construction contracts and revisions.
- Handle emergencies or adverse conditions on site proactively.
- Maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders, from laborers to clients.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support company goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a construction estimator.
- Working knowledge in Site Development, Site Work, Municipal Water, Municipal Sewer, Storm Water, Lift/Pump Station.
- Strong Excel, Word and Bluebeam skills a must. CAD experience a plus.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with data research and cost analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to walk, climb, and inspect job sites in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to travel and be on-call for project needs.
- Comfortable working in construction environments with associated risks.
