CareStar, Inc. is currently seeking a Support Services Supervisor in the Support Services Department to identify, coordinate and oversee the delivery of services to enhance the health, safety and general wellbeing of participants to assist the participants goals toward maximum independence.

THE POSITION
CareStar Is Looking For Motivated Individuals Who/to
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Minimum of one year post degree experience working with individuals with diagnosed chronic conditions and/or minimum of three years’ post degree experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Knowledge of issues affecting people with severe and persistent mental illness and community-based interventions/resources for those individuals.
- Effective interpersonal (oral and written) skills to interact professionally and ethically with all age groups from a diverse population, including differing intellectual, cultural, ethnic, psychosocial and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Ability to utilize critical thinking and independent judgement, along with multiple points of data/input to identify issues, develop solutions, and exercise judgement to meet requirements.
- Familiarity with suite of Microsoft Office programs.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance as required by State law.
- Analyzes reports made within CareStar to make effective plans and decisions.
- Ability to make calls to assess eligibility of participants according to program-specific criteria and timeframes. Refers non-eligible participants to appropriate community resources.
- Explains criteria and application process for applicable waiver programs, Medicaid Services and other community programs to staff to provide to callers in need of services.
- Adheres to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations to ensure confidentiality of both consumer and employee information.
- Ensures any returned documents are handled correctly by staff and provides instruction in these situations as needed.
- Emails accurate, complete information from callers to company employees as needed; accurately documents all calls in company electronic Caller Log per protocol
- Participates in, and occasionally leads, cross-training efforts to ensure adequate coverage for all administrative services tasks.
- Maintains open and direct contact with program staff personnel.
- Enters information accurately into CareStar and/or program specific computer applications as required to perform job duties.
- Serves on work groups, community groups, committees, or other task forces and attends meetings as requested.
- Participates in sales presentations, RFPs, RFIs and other proposals.
- Supports function departments, (e.g. HR, Finance, IT or others), as needed with process and project tasks.
- Participates in quality improvement activities, such as chart audits and project teams.
- Preforms other projects and duties as assigned.
