QUALIFICATIONS:

BA, BS or Associates student in communications or related field from an accredited university or college

Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Experience with major social media channels including twitter, Facebook, Linked in and You Tube, etc.

Experience developing creative content.

Ability to work within a team and the ability to work independently.

Passion for HAVEN’s mission, vision and values.

Essential Functions

Implement the social media marketing plan.

Update all media channels.

Increase quantity of social media followers.

Create branded, positive, inspiring and innovative content.

Maintain HAVEN website.

Create & deploy press releases as needed.

Create, manage and distribute press packets.

Monitor & measure press coverage.

Maintain honest, open and constructive communication.

Requirements

OTHER DUTIES

Strictly adhere to all HAVEN policies & procedures.

Attend required trainings and meetings.

Track intern hours, mileage and tasks completed daily.

Responsible for managing required university documents.

Attend weekly meetings with supervisor.

Provide reasonable notification to supervisor if unable to attend a scheduled event.

Notify supervisor of any potential conflicts of interest.

Adhere to all applicable laws.

Duties and responsibilities may change without notice.

Time Commitment

A two-semester commitment is required working ten to fifteen hours per week.
