Soapy Joe’s, a beloved local brand with 25 locations and growing, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to spearhead the development of our new car wash facilities across San Diego County. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the construction of new Soapy Joe’s car wash sites across San Diego County
  • Develop bid packages and select qualified general contractors and installation partners
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources from kickoff through site handoff
  • Coordinate owner-provided equipment installations alongside general contractor timelines
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality, safety, and timeline adherence
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and local building codes to maintain safe job sites
  • Work with city officials to obtain permits and navigate inspection processes
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders
  • Maintain organized project documentation using tools like Procore, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam
  • Problem-solve in real time and ensure continuity across multiple active sites

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–10 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in multi-unit retail environments.
  • Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Smartsheet, and Bluebeam.
  • OSHA certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to navigate construction sites, including climbing ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions.
  • Proficient in using computers and mobile devices for project management tasks.

Salary Description

$110,000 - $130,000
