With the guidance of the Director of Marketing Communications, the Marketing Intern will be primarily responsible for supporting the redesign and launch of the Bank’s updated website assisting in content management, SEO optimization, and day-to-day marketing operations. The intern will provide creative and insightful contributions to help support the Bank’s marketing efforts.
The intern may also provide administrative support in the course of helping the team to develop and implement other marketing strategies.
The role offers hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy execution and provides an excellent opportunity to apply classroom learning in a fast-paced professional environment.
The following essential duties do not cover an all-inclusive list of work requirements. Individuals will perform other job-related duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absenses or otherwise balance the workload.

This job role operates from the Bank’s Corpus Christi headquarters. It is a professional environment.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is part-time position. Available work hours and days are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Work hours can be scheduled flexibly around the intern’s class schedule, as mutually agreed upon with the Director of Marketing Communications.

Required Education and Experience
Working towards completion of an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, graphic Design, Advertising, Journalism, or comparable academic preparation and/or training experience.

Essential Duties
- Review and organize existing website content for clarity, consistency, and SEO performance
- Assist with keyword tagging, meta description writing, and ADA content compliance
- Help prepare and track social media content across platforms
- Conduct competitive research and provide insights on website trends and copy
- Support marketing team in administrative tasks and campaign coordination
- Assist with community events and collateral distribution as needed
- On occasion, assist with marketing/promotion, employee engagement and community events
- On occasion, assist with producing print marketing collateral
- Understanding of digital marketing or SEO principles preferred
- Strong written communication and editing skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Ability to upload and manage content—such as text, images, and links—using a website Content Management System (CMS)
- Demonstrate effective project management, planning and organizational skills.
- Produce quality work within a given framework and timeframe.
- Ability to receive instruction and guidance, and then complete work independently.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
