Made By The Water is looking for a HIGHLY motivated Area Sales Manager in the Charleston, South Carolina market for our Palmetto brand of craft beer. Our sales managers are flexible, versatile, and resilient, and continuously strive to build long-term relationships with our clients and distributors. They also work tirelessly to promote our amazing products and deliver world-class service. The Area Sales Manager will work directly with the Territory Director, growth team, distributor partners, and customers to execute our brand strategies and develop strategies to acquire new clientele and partnerships.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Present and sample accounts in a professional and concise manner.
  • Find, build and foster new relationships in your regional network.
  • Conduct ride along visits allowed with local distributing partners monthly.
  • Visit accounts with contacts made 10-12 times a day, four days a week.
  • Conduct beer tastings and events both on and off premises, throughout the month.
  • Maintain an active social media presence representing our brands, and in coordination with the MBTW marketing team.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals as discussed with sales team leadership.
  • Maintain close relationships with distributor contacts (i.e.: craft manager, on-premises manager, off-premises manager).
  • Able to demonstrate experience in sales, persuasion, negotiating and managing key accounts.
  • Facilitate growth in off premise sector by working with Chains/key Accounts Manager.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations, as well as company and distributor policies and procedures as it pertains to alcoholic beverages.
  • Always represent the company in an upstanding and professional manner.
  • Facilitate solutions to customer issues and concerns.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management, or similar field preferred
  • 2-4 years of industry-related relative experience
  • Strong verbal and presentation skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Some overnight and weekend travel is required
