Essential Responsibilities

  • Deliver IT support to users, configure and maintain workstations
  • Install, configure and maintain hardware, network software, operating system software, software applications as well as various computing devices
  • Maintain documentation and Knowledge base
  • Address network downtime and outages
  • Assist in various projects and implementations
  • Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary
  • Provide Tier II, III/other support per request from Helpdesk staff. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
  • Maintain awareness of advances in information technology and recommend modifications to systems
  • Follow established practices and standards for workstation configurations, naming conventions, and other established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Technology or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in the installation, configuration, and support of operating systems, networks, enterprise applications, and hardware in a professional IT environment.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft enterprise technologies, including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and LAN/WAN/VPN infrastructure.
  • Prior experience with Office 365 administration and end-user support is highly desirable.
  • Must be willing and able to work occasional evenings and weekends, sometimes with limited advance notice, and to travel throughout the New England region as required.
  • Requires some evening and weekend, sometimes with little advanced notice and travel throughout New England on occasion
