Job Summary: The HR/Admin Assistant will provide administrative support to the HR team, assist in employee onboarding/offboarding, maintain personnel files, help coordinate meetings and events, and provide general office support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a strong interest in human resources and business administration.

Responsibilities/Tasks: As the HR/Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Human Resources Support
- Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job ads, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
- Help facilitate new hire onboarding, including preparing documentation, ordering background checks and drug screens, conducting orientation sessions, enrolling employees in the DMV EPN, and collecting and filing required forms.
- Assist in setting up new withholding accounts for new states.
- Maintain accurate employee records in digital formats.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment tracking and employee communications.
- Support the HR team with internal communications, employee engagement efforts, and training coordination.
- Help ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Assist with general employee inquiries, verification of employment requests, and attestation letters.
- Assist in generating job requisitions for new hires, offer letters, amendments, and other employment documentation as requested.
- Assist in the development and implementation of employer and HR policies.
- Serve as the first point of contact for general administrative tasks and office coordination.
- Manage the general administrative and information mailboxes, forwarding and responding to inquiries as appropriate.
- Manage the company main phone line and redirecting calls to the appropriate parties.
- Assist in managing calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare documents or presentations as needed.
- Assist in planning company events, meetings, and employee recognition programs.
- Order office supplies, coordinate mailings, and support other departments with logistics as needed.
- Assist with shareholder communications and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Assist in maintaining company filings, such as annual SOI renewal, board resolutions, and corporate documentation.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role.
- Knowledge of HR Practices, labor laws and employment regulations
- Strong attention to detail, organization, customer service, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work with different levels of employees, management and executives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and HRIS/ATS systems a plus.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Prior experience with ADP a plus.
