Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking an accomplished and driven leader to assume the role of GM, Synchrony General Purpose Card portfolio, leading strategy, execution, and optimization efforts. This role presents an opportunity to take responsibility for growing a key portfolio, collaborating across Synchrony platforms, and driving growth through robust growth-strategies, data-driven decision-making and effective cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

Key Responsibilities
- Market Segment Strategy: Design and execute clear strategies to capture market opportunities within each target segment and manage strategic action plans to achieve performance targets.
- Product Strategy: Ensure GPCC product offerings are optimized to meet the unique needs of each market segment and business performance goals.
- Channel Optimization: Refine and enhance targeting and growth strategies in Prescreen, Cross-Sell and Digital channels to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Internal Collaboration: Build and leverage a strong network of internal partners across Credit, Analytics, Marketing, Digital, Finance and other SYF Platforms to support growth initiatives.
- Growth Initiative Testing: Partner with key internal teams to identify, execute and assess creative test plans designed to identify scalable growth opportunities going forward. Assess performance against goals and take proactive action as needed.
- Analytics & Insights: Initiate and sponsor development of advanced analytics capabilities to minimize turnaround time on test reads and support rapid data-driven decision-making.
- Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu of a degree, a high school equivalent 12+ years of GM experience within the Credit Card Industry
- Minimum of 10 years leadership experience, preferably in General Management, in Financial Services or Payments industry
- Strong overall knowledge of consumer financing including Marketing, Finance, Risk and Operations
- Must be willing to travel on occasion as necessary

- Strategic Planning & Execution: Proven ability to design and implement business strategies that deliver on growth and profitability objectives.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong analytics skills, with experience interpreting performance metrics, driving sound decision-making.
- Product Knowledge: Deep understanding of General Purpose Card products and the market landscape—or the ability to gain expertise quickly
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in building partnerships and aligning cross-functional teams around shared priorities.
- Innovation: Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
- Influence: Ability to effectively interface and represent SYF at the most senior levels in the client organization and influence senior corporate decision makers

Eligibility Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
