The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $146,600 - $201,700. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits.

The Director of Enterprise Business Applications can expect to focus on the following areas:
- Lead Business Application projects and oversee project planning, scoping, and cost estimates.
- Develop technical and functional specifications to guide Savant’s development and implementation of CRM solutions as a key hands-on developer.
- Determine company business application programming and overall management standards and procedures to fit Savant’s environment.
- Oversee Savant’s enterprise application architecture.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Enforce SDLC (software development life cycle) company best practices.
- Plan, lead, organize, and control all major custom development projects for the company, with a focus on CRM solutions and cutting-edge AI. Serve as project manager on key company technology initiatives.
- Write and modify line of business application programs and reports using system development tools (Salesforce, MS Visual Studio, etc.).
- Conduct thorough vendor due diligence on new technology partners.
- Manage 3rd Party external development partners and technical resource vendors.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues within Savant’s business software systems.
- Identify and repair bugs within custom reports and programs.
- Work closely with business managers, analysts, and users to determine functional requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements as they relate to Savant’s systems.
- Manage software upgrade schedules for Savant’s business applications.
- Oversee detailed system documentation and procedures.
- Ensure that change control and other processes and procedures are followed, and that configuration documentation is completed when systems are deployed or modified.
- Ability to work non-standard business hours (evenings/weekends) on occasion.
- Flexibility to travel to Savant regional offices on occasion.
- Attendance at work is an essential function of this position.
- Perform other duties as required by supervisor/manager.
- Hire, develop, train, and mentor members of the applications support team.
- Assign work and projects to team members. Coach project teams on efficient project management and execution.
- Provide guidance and constructive, timely feedback toward performance expectations and goals.
- Professional development of team including areas of specialty technology tracks that fit the team member’s skills and interests aligned to the company needs.
- Manage others through subordinate supervisors when applicable.
- Ensure IT staffing capacity and support levels are sufficient to meet the needs of Savant’s growth objectives.
- This position can be based out of our Downtown Chicago office or our headquarters in Rockford, IL.
- Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
The Director of Enterprise Business Applications position requires the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field. A Master’s degree focused on programming, information systems, or related field is preferred.
- 7-10 years proven success in ever increasing roles, with experience in Wealth Management / RIA designing, deploying, and managing CRM solutions.
- Management and supervisory experience are required.
- Experience leading software support and development teams.
- Extensive design analysis and programming knowledge required.
- Deep understanding of enterprise-level application security models.
- Familiarity with development tools such as Salesforce Apex, Node JS, Python, and .NET.
- Ability to stay current with rapidly changing technology platforms, including cutting-edge AI.
- Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills.
- Experience in planning and executing large, complex projects.
- Ability to travel to regional office sites as necessary.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and evidence of auto insurance.
- Self-motivated, customer service-oriented, energetic, resourceful, and eager to learn.
- High level of comfort in working with a team as a leader to complete complex projects.
