Overview
We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager or a strong HR Generalist to lead HR operations at a dynamic and growing manufacturing site. This hands-on role will be critical in supporting HR strategy, employee relations, compliance, and operational excellence across a busy facility with over 250 employees and multiple warehouses.
The ideal candidate is proactive, community-engaged, and capable of navigating a fast-paced industrial environment. Strong tenure in previous roles (3+ years minimum per employer) is required — job hoppers will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Strategy
- Partner with leadership on employee performance, staffing management, succession planning, and organizational development
- Develop, update, and recommend HR policies and procedures
- Monitor legal compliance and represent the organization at hearings
- Conduct workplace investigations and manage employee relations matters
- Maintain organizational charts, job descriptions, and employee directories
- Design and implement onboarding and training programs
- Compile HR metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement
- Provide employee relations support and guidance to managers
- Lead investigations, document findings, and ensure appropriate resolutions
- Facilitate planning and implementation of performance appraisals
- Promote a culture of inclusiveness and engagement across all departments
- Educate employees on benefit programs and assist with claims and 401(k) matters
- Support open enrollment and wellness initiatives
- Contribute to compensation structure development
- Collaborate with recruiters and managers on sourcing, interviewing, and hiring
- Analyze turnover and exit interviews for improvement opportunities
- Develop training programs and build talent pipelines
- Coordinate employee recognition programs and HR events
- Support large-scale employee functions and communication initiatives
- Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and documentation
- Prepare annual EEO reporting
- Participate in professional development and community HR activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on investigations and employee relations
- At least 2 years of HR management or supervisory experience
- Background in manufacturing or heavy equipment/industrial environments
- Proven track record of independent work, initiative, and leadership
- Comfortable walking and engaging across multiple warehouses daily
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
- Experience with PI assessments and HRIS/ATS systems
- Involvement with local HR associations, chambers of commerce, or manufacturing networks
