Overview

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager or a strong HR Generalist to lead HR operations at a dynamic and growing manufacturing site. This hands-on role will be critical in supporting HR strategy, employee relations, compliance, and operational excellence across a busy facility with over 250 employees and multiple warehouses.

The ideal candidate is proactive, community-engaged, and capable of navigating a fast-paced industrial environment. Strong tenure in previous roles (3+ years minimum per employer) is required — job hoppers will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Strategy

  • Partner with leadership on employee performance, staffing management, succession planning, and organizational development
  • Develop, update, and recommend HR policies and procedures
  • Monitor legal compliance and represent the organization at hearings
  • Conduct workplace investigations and manage employee relations matters
  • Maintain organizational charts, job descriptions, and employee directories
  • Design and implement onboarding and training programs
  • Compile HR metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Provide employee relations support and guidance to managers
  • Lead investigations, document findings, and ensure appropriate resolutions
  • Facilitate planning and implementation of performance appraisals
  • Promote a culture of inclusiveness and engagement across all departments

Benefits & Compensation

  • Educate employees on benefit programs and assist with claims and 401(k) matters
  • Support open enrollment and wellness initiatives
  • Contribute to compensation structure development

Staffing & Talent Development

  • Collaborate with recruiters and managers on sourcing, interviewing, and hiring
  • Analyze turnover and exit interviews for improvement opportunities
  • Develop training programs and build talent pipelines
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs and HR events

Additional Duties

  • Support large-scale employee functions and communication initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and compliant HR records and documentation
  • Prepare annual EEO reporting
  • Participate in professional development and community HR activities

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR experience with a focus on investigations and employee relations
  • At least 2 years of HR management or supervisory experience
  • Background in manufacturing or heavy equipment/industrial environments
  • Proven track record of independent work, initiative, and leadership
  • Comfortable walking and engaging across multiple warehouses daily

Preferred Qualifications

  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Experience with PI assessments and HRIS/ATS systems
  • Involvement with local HR associations, chambers of commerce, or manufacturing networks
