Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Executive Assistant on behalf of our client, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health equity. This contract-to-hire opportunity is based in San Diego, CA, with a flexible hybrid work structure (1 day onsite, 4 days remote).
Responsibilities
This position offers an hourly pay rate of$50,a monthly technology stipend, medical, dental, vision and voluntary life insurance, an employee assistance plan (EAP), and commuter and transit benefits for those who are working on average 30 or more hours per week. An employee retirement plan is also available.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination.
- Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and reports.
- Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director and staff, board members, partners, and donors.
- Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, note-taking, and follow-up.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- Assist with special projects, events, and fundraising initiatives as needed.
- Perform general office management tasks, including filing, supplies management, and maintaining organizational systems.
- Previous experience as an Executive Assistant.
- Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Teams).
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
- Commitment to the mission, values, and goals of the organization.
