SUMMARY:

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for administering the company's information security programs, vulnerability management, and incident response. The role requires proactive support of the IT department’s group goals, the company’s corporate goals, and the objectives and strategies of the information security functions within the company. The work requires information technology experience, exceptional customer service, and business-level communication skills. Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for security systems.
  • Research and recommend systems that will improve safety and security, provide savings, and/or increase revenues.
  • Mitigate known control weaknesses.
  • Perform system and application vulnerability testing.
  • Remediate issues discovered through threat and vulnerability assessments or audits.
  • Monitor for and analyze unusual or suspicious activity and make recommendations for resolution.
  • Perform incident response, investigation and reporting.
  • Administer the company’s security event log system.
  • Administer the company’s security awareness training program.
  • Provide support for critical business needs outside of normal business hours.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Knowledge of information security principles, including risk assessment and management, threat and vulnerability management, incident response and identity and access management.
  • Experience developing, documenting and maintaining security procedures.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls and associated network protocols and concepts.
  • Strong technical knowledge of current systems, software, protocols and standards. including TCP/IP and network administration/protocols
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle urgent and crisis situations in a methodical and analytical manner.
  • Ability to concurrently handle multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience in assessing technical and business needs and making recommendations for resources required to maintain and expand service levels.

Required Education And/Or Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computing Security, or equivalent
