The Director-Social Work is functionally responsible for ensuring Social Work Practice is in alignment to support institutional strategic and operational priorities. Provides overall administrative and operational direction for activities and functions pertaining to Social Work practice at Mayo Clinic. Duties include: leadership, communication, forecasting, budgeting, organizing and evaluating to direct the resources and activities of Social Work.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work from a Council on Social Work Education accredited program. Minimum of five years progressive administrative leadership experience preferred, encompassing inpatient and outpatient operations, systems and processes. Excellent written and verbal communication, change management, leadership, and operational skills required. High level of professional integrity and creativity. Demonstrates expertise and skill in systems thinking and team dynamics, outcomes management, quality/continuous improvement philosophies and methodologies, clinical data assessment, clinical resource utilization analysis, risk management, and JCAHO. The director adheres to the NASW Code of Ethics and the NASW Standards for Social Work Practice in Healthcare Settings.
Minnesota Social Work Licensure at Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
