SUMMARY

The Aerospace Manufacturing Work Order and Materials Coordinator is an entry-level position supporting the procurement, planning, and estimating functions within an AS9100-certified aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures timely acquisition of materials and coordination of job planning to support production schedules and customer requirements

Position: Full-time

Pay: $26.50 - $28.50/ hour

  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Customer Communication & Support

    • Acts as a point of contact internally and externally for current customers.
    • Supports resolution of customer concerns related to delivery schedules, material availability, order status, and part shortages.
    • Escalates complex or high-impact issues to senior staff or management as needed, ensuring timely and accurate communication.

    ERP & Internal Coordination

    • Learn and use ERP systems (e.g., ProShop, etc.) to track materials, work orders, and schedule adherence.
    • Communicate effectively across departments to identify and resolve shortages, delays, and customer service issues.

    Purchasing

    • Create and process purchase orders for production and indirect materials under supervision.
    • Follow up on order acknowledgments, lead times, and confirmations.
    • Support supplier onboarding and compliance documentation with the Quality team.
    • Assist in processing defective material returns (RTVs) and resolving invoice discrepancies.

    Planning

    • Review customer specifications, drawings, and purchase orders to confirm manufacturability and documentation completeness.
    • Generates accurate job routing and work center planning data under guidance.

    Estimating Support

    • Participate in gathering data for RFQs by working cross-functionally with quality and production.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    • Requirement to pass Background check in accordance with Customer Guidelines and Requirements.
    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

    • High school diploma or GED; or experience in Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
    • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production support role; aerospace experience strongly preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn ERP and planning systems.

    Language Skills

    • Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documents, such as engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
    • Capable of writing clear, concise emails, internal communications, and basic reports.
    • Able to communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve routine issues related to materials, deliveries, or planning.
    • Demonstrates professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

    • This position is based entirely on the manufacturing floor.
    • Employees may be exposed to moderate to high noise levels, moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, and temperature variations typical of a production setting.

    • Compliance with safety protocols is essential, and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in designated areas.
