The PTA provides direct physical therapy care under a licensed PT's supervision, following all laws and standards.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited ASPT program and licensed/licensed in the state, maintaining active licensure.
- Preferred one year of experience in post-acute care; CPR certification required upon hire and kept current.
- Participates in community health projects; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Liaises with patients, families, and support staff to plan care; demonstrates good body mechanics and makes independent decisions when needed.
- Knowledgeable of applicable laws, regulations, and facility procedures; maintains confidentiality and professional relationships.
- Follows treatment plans, charts timely, and uses therapy software accurately.
- Provides excellent customer service, assists in patient evacuation, and functions effectively in a team.
- Performs physical activities like lifting and moving patients; communicates effectively in English; maintains dependable attendance.
- Adheres to policies, displays professionalism, and completes mandatory training.
