HR Manager-Logistics & Trucking

Savannah, GA

The HR Manager will lead and direct all functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruitment, interview processes, and hiring new staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. In this role, you are using a strategic mindset, analyzing industry and employment data/trends to develop and implement solutions that focus on the attraction, retention, and development of our team members. Reports to the CEO.

Education And Experience

  • An associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in the trucking, logistics, or transportation industry.
  • Experience working in transportation/warehouse (preferred)
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS) is a plus.
  • Experience managing high-level benefits administration, 401K administration, and other HR vendors.
  • Experience reporting to the C-Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • High understanding of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.) is a plus.
  • Must be comfortable making decisions independently.
  • PHR or SHRM certification (preferred)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States

  • Basic Math Skills
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Schedule:?

  • Day shift.?
  • Standard office hours, with occasional flexibility based on hiring or onboarding needs.
  • Hybrid or remote options may be considered depending on organizational needs.
  • Weekends as needed.?
