Level Descriptions

Level 1 – Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some amount of timely supervision to ensure the proper tasks are being accomplished and that communication is adequate, timely and in the correct manner (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.)

Level 2 - Consistently achieves all the objectives of this position. This individual also provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to level 1 positions.

Senior - Highly experienced in the position. Advanced awareness of customer needs and the methods of solving them. Also, a solid understanding of HVAC systems and electrical systems in buildings. This person is a “go to” source for others and has a thorough awareness of our customer base, our commitments to them, and the skill sets of our employees.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Works closely with sales support, design team and external customers to ensure assigned projects’ documents, estimates and other information is complete, accurate, approved and available to all necessary personnel to maximize productivity.
  • Assist Project Manager in the execution of the management plan for assigned projects.
  • Communicates with external customers (i.e. verbal, written, email, etc.) on assigned projects and follows up throughout the project as required to ensure adequate and timely communication. Including scheduling meetings, phone calls and site visits.
  • Works closely with technicians to review bill of material (BOM) on assigned projects to ensure equipment is compatible and will function properly.
  • Works closely with Subcontract Administrator to complete and submit subcontract request forms (SRF).
  • Coordinates with Project Manager regarding material orders and handling.
  • Assists the Project Manager in the scheduling of technicians and subcontractors (if needed), for all assigned projects, including deliveries.
  • Coordinates with accounting to ensure timely invoicing and is actively engaged in collections to minimize aging. Works closely with the Collections department to ensure timely collections.
  • Assists Project Manager in forecasting cost for each area of the project and tracks these over time to achieve budget and forecast goals. Assists Project Manager with completing WIP as needed to meet forecasting requirements.
  • Is aware of customer satisfaction issues and coordinates with others as required to ensure timely response.

Basic Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma.
  • 2+ years of experience in construction management ( Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC)
  • Proficiency in basic computer systems, including MS Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience with construction and HVAC systems.
  • Prior experience in coordinating material orders and scheduling for service projects and working with local AHJs.
  • Familiarity with special systems, or mechanical/electrical systems within buildings.
  • Certification or training in service management or related area.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Proven track record of customer service excellence and satisfaction.

Essential Job Functions

  • Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, material, etc.
  • Be able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Be able to spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites.
  • Be able to climb several flights of stairs or ladders throughout a typical day on a construction site.
  • Maintain a satisfactory driving record which, per Climatec’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive on company business.
  • Be physically able to kneel, stoop and crawl.
