Description

Our Credentialing Intake Coordinator oversees the intake and initial processing of credentialing applications for medical providers. This role ensures all necessary documentation is reviewed, verified, and accurate, facilitating a smooth credentialing process.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for medical providers and their public relations (PR) representatives regarding credentialing.
  • Collect and review initial credentialing applications, ensuring all required documents (e.g., licensure, certifications, malpractice insurance) are complete and up-to-date.
  • Verify provider credentials, including education, training, certifications, and professional background.
  • Collaborate with providers and PR representatives to obtain missing or additional documentation, such as medical licenses, malpractice certificates, and DEA registrations (if applicable).
  • Explain credentialing requirements to healthcare providers and PR representatives, ensuring clear understanding of the process.
  • Accurately enter and maintain provider credentialing data in credentialing systems or databases.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards for medical provider credentialing.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, such as credentialing specialists or administrative staff, to facilitate seamless application processing.
  • Track and monitor the status of credentialing applications, providing follow-up assistance to providers as needed.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive provider information in compliance with privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Address initial inquiries and concerns from providers and their representatives regarding the credentialing process.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in healthcare credentialing or administrative roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly
  • Experience with credentialing software or databases.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare provider networks.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards related to medical credentialing.

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where the expectation is to work onsite 2 days a week. This position will report to our Monterey Park corporate office at 1600 Corporate Center Drive.
  • The total pay range for this role is: $19.00 - 20.00 per hour. This salary range represents our national target range for this role.
