Our manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help with the supply chain process, including the procurement of raw materials for production and of finished goods sold as retail to our customers. This position relies on trend forecasting to predict our inventory needs based on the potential needs of our customer base.

Our manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will help with the supply chain process, including the procurement of raw materials for production and of finished goods sold as retail to our customers. This position relies on trend forecasting to predict our inventory needs based on the potential needs of our customer base.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Procures raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished goods, supplies, tools, and equipment.
- Request quotes and negotiate with suppliers to include pricing, long-term agreements, off-site inventory reconciliation, and third-party manufacturing.
- Identifies sources for new products and alternative supply sources.
- Responsible for working cross-functionally to resolve Non-Conforming Materials issues efficiently and effectively.
- Maintains supplier records.
- Establishes, maintains, and implements Westone-compliant procedures.
- Monitors demand to ensure production and sales needs are met.
- Leads cross-functional communication with suppliers.
- Prepares reports for cost analyses, purchasing, and production trends and can present high-level information as necessary.
- Provides production plan and reporting for production managers as needed.
- Analyzes requirements and executes strategy to support warehouse inventory and production requirements.
- Resolves and implements strategies to provide solutions for supply chain challenges as they arise in procurement and/or planning.
- Ability to create, change, and scrutinize bills of materials for multiple product lines.
- Materials planning experience, including creating and managing Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Exceptional ability to effectively communicate with suppliers by telephone, in writing, or in person.
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly and efficiently to changes in priorities.
- Ability to plan and coordinate tasks so work is accomplished within expected timeframes and procedural parameters.
- Highly ethical in financial data and resources, including company credit cards and other account information.
- Able to read and interpret documents, including procedure manuals and inventory reports. Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Calculate figures and amounts including discounts, proportions, and volume. Apply basic algebra/calculation skills to determine appropriate inventory levels and complete cost analysis. This includes the ability to convert foreign currency amounts.
- Apply common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagram form. Resolve problems where there are several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to travel as necessary.

- Associate’s degree, preferably in business or supply chain management, or equivalent education and/or experience.
- Excellent negotiating, analytical, and communication skills, both verbal & written
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems and processes in a manufacturing environment. but not required.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, including good attention to detail. Ability to make progress and achieve desired results within the desired timelines on multiple priorities concurrently.
