Description
The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing the day-to-day distribution of content across social media channels for the Garden Group’s three gardening brands. Please note that this role focuses on promoting editorial content, events, and products for multiple brands, and is not by nature a content creation role. The ideal candidate is strategic, detail-oriented, and highly organized, with a strong understanding of audience development, social media best practices, and the nuances of brand voice.
This person will collaborate closely with editors and leadership to ensure that all social posts are aligned with editorial priorities and brand standards. They should be comfortable with the editorial process in general, i.e. developing and pitching new campaign ideas and messaging for editorial review and approval before initiating projects.
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for implementing an approved social strategy across platforms to drive traffic, increase follower engagement, and support key performance goals including subscription growth, event attendance, and product sales.
They will also coordinate timing and messaging with other marketing and editorial stakeholders, and ensure consistency in tone, look, and voice across all platforms per brand.
