Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in social media marketing.
  • 3 years of experience with X platform and with community management on Instagram, Discord, and YouTube, including best practices, formats and engagement tactics.
  • Experience in working cross-functionally with various stakeholders and teams.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Sprinklr and AirTable.
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, chaotic, and fluid environment, with copywriting.
  • Ability to make an impact in highly cross-functional teams spanning product, PR, policy, legal, and marketing.
  • Ability to deliver quality output with tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

About The Job

Social Marketers establish the foundation for integrating social into all Google user touch points -- from advertising campaigns to event marketing to customer service -- in a clear and consistent way. We collaborate cross-functionally with product marketing leads to help align earned awareness marketing with the product and business roadmap. You will use data-driven analysis and insights to improve campaign effectiveness and value to the business, as well as exemplary online advertising solutions across Google’s key marketing initiatives.

Google’s goal for Gemini is to be the most helpful AI assistant by giving users direct access to Google’s latest AI models and capabilities. The Gemini App Marketing team plays a critical role in this mission, and is a fluid and dynamic team that is responsible for driving and delivering on ambitious strategic business goals.

In this role, you will be focused on community management for Gemini social channels. You will be the team expert on community management across channels, with subject matter expertise in driving innovative engagement with AI Enthusiast communities.You will partner cross-functionally within the marketing organization to standardize and scale best practices for the social-first approach.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $141,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Help define and maintain the community management strategy, including methods for engagements, moderation policies, and user outreach initiatives.
  • Draft social copy for responses to AI enthusiasts and work with the Product and Engineering teams to ensure accuracy.
  • Own UGC-focused activations, work with internal stakeholders across Product Manager (PM), Product Marketing Manager (PMM), Go-to-Market (GTM), Legal, and Communications.
  • Implement social media community management tactics and best practices when engaging with users across channels.
  • Work with the Priority User Program team to engage AI enthusiasts on an ongoing basis.
