This position is mainly responsible for providing application and training support for the Health Information System (HIS) department. Identifies, researches, and resolves helpdesk tickets. Responsible for escalating unresolved issues to the HIS System Administrator or the application vendor as needed. Identifies any gaps in user knowledge and may provide system training as appropriate.

Educational / Experience Requirements:
Subject to many interruptions. Occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries. This position can be high paced and stressful; must be able to cope mentally and physically to atmosphere. Work requires spending approximately 90% or more of the time inside a building that offers protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
Essential Functions:
- Serves as level 1 support for the Organization’s Health Information System (WellSky) to include answering tickets, and basic trouble shooting.
- Supports the WellSky system administrator in tasks including but not limited to setting up new users, quality assessment, running reports, etc.
- Supports the HIS Training Manager in tasks including but not limited to scheduling as-needed virtual trainings, verifying training completion for access, preparing training guides for on-site trainings, etc.
- Supports monthly system upgrades of the WellSky application.
- Works collaboratively with the IT department to ensure that the systems are accessible to all stakeholders.
- Consistently demonstrates a service-oriented mindset by providing excellent internal/external customer service. Develops and maintains good interpersonal relationships and partnerships with all departments at the Company.
- Serve in a rotation for afterhours support schedule.
- Completes other assigned.
Educational / Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in EMR application support, and customer service preferred.
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems with ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with physicians and other clinical staff.
- Demonstrates strong computer skills to navigate MS office products and electronic compliance software solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
