Job Overview
The Electrical Products Sr. Financial Analyst serves as a key member of the Hubbell Electrical Solutions finance team supporting multiple business units within the Electrical Products SBU. This role reports to the EP Accounting Manager and interfaces regularly with the SBU VP Finance and Segment Controllership Team. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for leading commercial finance initiatives and other projects simultaneously while ensuring that internal customer requirements are satisfied on a routine basis. Partners with the Finance and Operations functions to ensure the delivery of value‐added analysis and accounting support that leads to accurate and timely financial reporting and decision‐making.

A Day In The Life
Roles & Responsibilities
- Major commercial finance contributor for the Electrical Products SBU
- Customer programs, incentives & related accruals
- Commissions & related accruals
- Analysis around the return on investment for modified and/or new programs
- Customer & product line profitability analysis
- Finance business partner for EP sales organization
- Works with the segment finance team to design & install new/modified finance processes and procedures
- Ability to analyze and make assessments of financial statements, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
- Implementation of policies, procedures, and SOX Controls.
- Ensures that financial reporting and related processes are designed and executed in accordance with GAAP and the Company’s Accounting Policies & Procedures.
- Support key financial system implementations including SAP and OneStream.
- Drives increased productivity, simplifies processes and reduces cost through automation, standardization and control enhancement
- Ability to work across all levels of an organization and to be able to effectively communicate to influence change
- Participates in the monthly preparation of account reconciliations and journal entries using a web-based application (Blackline)
- Assists in preparing analysis, commentary and presentation materials for monthly and quarterly financial review meetings
- Completes ad hoc financial information requests and various special projects as needed
- Support internal and external audit activity as necessary and oversee timely remediation of any findings or follow up items
- Bachelor's degree concentrated in Accounting, from a four‐year college or university required
- 3+ Years of finance/accounting, preferably within a global manufacturing company
- Demonstrated record of success in prior roles
- Significant experience accounting for customer programs and commissions highly desired
- Ability to effectively identify, diagnose and communicate the impact of complex transactions to the company’s leadership team.
- Experience implementing and/or maintaining processes and procedures in a publicly traded company environment
- Understanding of US GAAP, transactional accounting within a manufacturing company model and with a monthly accounting close process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- SAP experience desired, OneStream experience a plus
- Expert working knowledge of MS Excel, and experience working with large volumes of customer data
- Proven ability to work well with others in a diverse organization
- Highly organized with an ability to work well under tight time constraints
- Self‐starter who is able to work independently and execute projects effectively
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communications skills. Must be capable of effectively partnering with leaders from other functional areas (sales, marketing, etc.)
