Summary Of Position

Elevate MRO’s mobile AOG maintenance operations support customers in the Intermountain West (primarily Colorado and Utah) with an emphasis on supporting aircraft in remote airport locations. The AOG Aviation Maintenance Technician is expected to successfully perform mobile maintenance, repairs, and inspections of customer aircraft and articles in an airworthy manner and in compliance manufacturer’s maintenance instructions and/or other approved data, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (Parts 43, 65, 145, etc.), customer requirements, and company policies and procedures.

This customer-facing role includes directly interfacing with Elevate MRO clients, often in stressful circumstances, requiring Elevate Aviation Groups dedication to savage customer service. Arriving quickly, troubleshooting and fault isolation, and subsequent repairs to quickly return the aircraft to service and continuous customer communication and rapid response is key to success in this role.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with scheduling, flight crews, Technical Support, vendors, and leadership.
  • Perform maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
  • Responsible for inspecting the AOG truck, tools for calibration/operation, stocking levels and hazmat.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work independently to perform assigned maintenance and avionics tasks.
  • Responsible to coordinate/order, receive and inspect all tooling and materials needed to service the aircraft, prior to use/installation.
  • Arranges the shipment of all core units and tooling back to the proper location.
  • Properly completes work order signoffs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports and all other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensures that all work accomplished meets quality standards, maintenance manual and company policies.
  • Establishes and maintains a professional working relationship and promotes the Elevate MRO brand and our savage customer service culture when interacting with others.
  • Properly identifies (tags) parts and equipment. Stores aircraft components and other property securely and safely.
  • Operates and supervises use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  • Coordinates with Line Service and FBO ops to schedule movement of aircraft and assist with movement of aircraft.
  • Provides regular updates on aircraft status and all support activity to leadership, as needed.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional attitude.
  • Responsible for maintaining company training requirements and assisting in training new/junior employees.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned and/or outlined by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-

  • Must be computer literate and knowledgeable of the MS Office suite of applications as well as Corridor maintenance software. Familiarity with CAMP and FlightDocs helpful but not required to start.
  • Must be able to work independently of direct supervision and make decisions compliant with aviation safety and FAA regulations.

Education & Experience

  • Must have a valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
  • High School diploma required. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluently in English. Minimum five (5) years of documented aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair experience as an FAA A&P technician.
  • Two (2) years of practical inspection and maintenance experience on one or more of the following series: Challenger, Falcon, Global Express, Gulfstream or Honda Jet, preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable with Federal Aviation Regulations as it relates to aircraft inspection, maintenance, parts control, and final return to service.

Schedule & Travel

  • The work schedule is driven by customer requirements and schedules. After-hours and weekend requirements inherent to the aviation industry.
  • Overtime, including nights, weekends, and/or holidays may be required to support customer delivery schedules and AOG support.
  • Multi-day domestic and international on-site customer support trips required.

Miscellaneous

  • FLSA Status- Full time nonexempt
  • Lifting requirements- Up to 50lbs
  • Valid U.S. state-issued driver’s license is required.
  • Position requires FAA-mandated drug employment screening.
