The ALFA Operations Support Specialist is a member of the ALFA Operations Support team that is responsible for managing the portfolio system (ALFA) for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. This position requires subject matter expertise and business support for ALFA configuration and functionality, as well as collaboration with business and IT stakeholders regarding the prioritization, development, testing and release of enhancements to ALFA.
This position interacts with teams and stakeholders across MBFS, from Finance & Controlling to Business Operations, IT, Marketing and OGC, among others. The purpose of these interactions is to ensure the ALFA system works effectively for the current and future purposes of the company, within the business and legal frameworks that it operates.

The ALFA Operations Support Specialist is a member of the ALFA Operations Support team that is responsible for managing the portfolio system (ALFA) for Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. This position requires subject matter expertise and business support for ALFA configuration and functionality, as well as collaboration with business and IT stakeholders regarding the prioritization, development, testing and release of enhancements to ALFA.
This position interacts with teams and stakeholders across MBFS, from Finance & Controlling to Business Operations, IT, Marketing and OGC, among others. The purpose of these interactions is to ensure the ALFA system works effectively for the current and future purposes of the company, within the business and legal frameworks that it operates.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as primary business support and subject matter expert for ALFA. Answer questions from operations stakeholders as they relate to the MBFS instance of Alfa's system functionality, including configuration, business rules, database querying and regulatory requirements. (30%)
- Design and test configuration, business rules and data changes to ALFA that support operational requirements, defect fixes and platform upgrades. (20%)
- Participate as SME in the development of corporate initiatives as they relate to system data, functionality and end-user experience in the current and future environments. (20%)
- Participate in enhancement planning, development and testing in ALFA. Responsible for the development of documentation for system enhancements in ALFA. (10%)
- Responsible for compliance testing relating to system functionality that has an established system or manual control in place. (10%)
