We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Buyer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is integral to ensuring the timely procurement of components and products, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and fostering strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, utilizing SOLID ERP systems, and demonstrating advanced proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUP and PivotTables).

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Remote Buyer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is integral to ensuring the timely procurement of components and products, maintaining optimal inventory levels, and fostering strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in managing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) reports, utilizing SOLID ERP systems, and demonstrating advanced proficiency in Excel (including VLOOKUP and PivotTables).
Key Responsibilities
- MRP & Inventory Management: Analyze and manage MRP reports to ensure timely procurement of materials, maintaining optimal inventory levels across 1,500+ SKUs.
- Purchase Order Management: Generate and manage purchase orders (POs) with vendors, ensuring components and products are delivered on time to meet manufacturing needs.
- Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms to optimize procurement efficiency.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize Excel to analyze procurement data, track spending, and generate reports to support decision-making processes.
- Stocking Programs: Manage and optimize stocking programs to ensure consistent availability of materials, minimizing production delays.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with manufacturing schedules and budgetary constraints.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, preferred
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a purchasing or procurement role, within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, data analysis).
- Analytical Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage large datasets and make data-driven decisions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent preferred
- Industry Experience: Experience in managing procurement for a large number of SKUs and a significant annual spend.
- Software Knowledge: SOLID ERP systems and procurement software.
- Work Environment: Fully remote position 8am-5pm M-F
