Position Summary

The Referral Coordinator acts as a multi-skilled employee responsible for caring for all patients and facilitating their follow-up care. Responsibilities include learning and maintaining knowledge of community resources for referral and coordinating referrals with referring clinics and physicians. In addition, the Referral Coordinator will assist with training, job shadowing, rounding in clinic, and support peers with processing referrals for multiple clinics.

This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize actions; and the ability to respond quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple priorities.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare or medical office setting, experience should include front desk responsibilities, required
  • Working knowledge of office procedures including the ability to operate fax, copier, and multi-line phones, required
  • Experience using computers such as PC and MS Windows, required
  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
