HR Generalist (Temp to Hire)

At 5.11, people are our purpose - and as an HR Generalist, you'll be a key partner in supporting our teams through every stage of the employee experience. From onboarding to offboarding, recruiting to compliance, you’ll help ensure we’re delivering consistent, people-first support. In this role, you’ll serve as a trusted resource, working closely with employees, managers, and the broader HR team to uphold our values and drive operational excellence.
What You’ll Do:
Serve as a go-to resource for employees and managers, providing support on HR policies, tools, and processes.
Deliver engaging new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
Own offboarding for hourly roles, including exit interviews, documentation, system deactivation, and equipment collection.
Support HR compliance by maintaining accurate employee files, data entry in HRIS, and handling required filings (unemployment, disability, etc.).
Assist with employee relations matters, leave of absence tracking, and workers’ comp support, escalating issues to HRBPs as needed.
Coordinate events and cultural moments for the Ops Center to help foster team connection.
Lead internal recruitment for 90-day temp conversions, including interview scheduling and candidate coordination.
Assist with job description updates, recruiting support, and maintaining internal access tools (POS/Magento, etc.).
Generate and maintain HR reports and trackers.
Support ad hoc projects and provide general administrative assistance to the HR team.
What You Bring:
1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative role (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Outlook).
Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Excellent communication and organization skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Pay Range: $28.00- $32.00 per hour plus bonus
