As a Collector, You Will
- preserve the credit union’s assets by collecting on delinquent accounts.
- successfully collect of delinquent debt in all stages (early, late, repossessions) and make outbound calls on unsecured loans and a credit card portfolio.
- identify first payment defaults on unsecured loans and the issues preventing the remittance of timely payments and/or other payment issues.
- share responsibility for collecting on secured debt and assisting other staff with processing repossessed collateral; and
- Maintain a positive attitude and be team oriented
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
- Stable work history
- Pertinent collections experience
- Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making skills and intuitive natured to think on your feet
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Ability to work in multiple systems at one time
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
